Well we are finally done school....

kinda miss it

but i have been productive! I even have some little icony things i made in Illustrator using that Glossy Button technique Martin showed us! Whatcha think?

I.F. - Linked

I will be completely honest... I had entirely WAY too much fun doing this illustration. The very first thing that came to my mind when I think of 'Linked'....is none other than Link from Zelda. So I went a little over board and Linked Link to Link! (get all that?)...and of course when thinking of Zelda; the next thing that came to mind is Navi (that annoying fairy pest that bugged the hell out of you the entire way from start to end in the games that you wanted to go awol on her with a flyswatter). So here we have Navi being the usual pest flying around (joking in her annoying way) at Link being Linked to Link (yea, i like say that way too much too)

I.F. - Dip

Now...

Dip...

At first i thought of Chip Dip but didnt really want to do that. So then i thought about Skinny Dipping.... didnt think i should do that.... So i thought of skinny dipping IN chip Dip and calling it a Double Dip.... but...it seemed wrong for some reason?

So i heard of "Sheep Dip"...and it is where a sheep is "dipped" ( though they really swim) in a fungicide and such to keep pests out of their wool....so my illustration is what a sheep dip would be if sheep ruled the world.

I.F. - Rescue

Well...here is my rescue -.- yes, i went back to cats and didnt even notice till i already had it half coloured v.v

Anyhoo...my favorite part of this illustration is the cub face palming off to the side at the sibling knack for getting into trouble and thus requiring rescuing lol

Salt - Active Cit Poster

Well, here ya go blogger trolls... my poster for Victoria's Active Cit. Class :)

The man in my poster is Prof. McGreggor who was the person who i did my essay on. As you can see if you look, the image of the man is made with letters...but better then that - the letters are actually my essay :P making my essay work for me! *cracks whip evily* YAH MULE!

Well i really enjoyed playing with fire (hehe) in the cancer ad, so i decided to do it again, and this time i did a PaintBall player for James :) and the Unicorn is my favorite! It started as a photo of a black horse ...really fun to make the flames (ya, im getting way too much enjoyment from this)

I decided to get away from the big jungle cats that i have been doing recently because it really seems narrow minded since that was what i was doing all the time....and how i love to play with the photoshop filters :P So went for something completely different! ^_^ Hope you like it, cause its on FIRE!

I.F. - Expired

Here is this weeks 'expired' for Illustration Friday. When i first thought of expired, i immediately thought of rotten food; but i really didnt want to do some green moldy stuff. When i looked up other meanings for expired, i came up with 'times up'. So i went with something that was more in the heat of the moment when your time is up. So there you have it, this is my Lioness Hunting scene where they are in the heat of the moment and that the wildebeest's time is up (expired).

Sub..Subter..alien?

Well, here is my Subterranean for this week. Now i looked up what it meant hoping for something other than 'underground'...but alas, all i could find in my quick half-assed check, was underground.

Well i really wanted to do something different then what i assumed everyone was going to be doing (caves, dirt, underground, watery stuff..etc)

So the first non-dirt underground i could think of was the Underground Railroad. So that is what mine is based off. For those who dont know what this was; ill give you a quick little info session.

The underground railroad was used way back in the day by people who where slaves who tried to escape to Canada and certain parts of the US for their freedom. There was no actual train or real train tracks or anything; but was terms used to talk in secret about it (ie: people who where guides where called conductors)

Anyhoo... hope you all like it :)

And unfortunately, i have lost the finished image of this one v.v this is a character a co-worker wished me to draw, and all i have is the picture of the 'so far" i sent to her




And this one i am especially proud of! This is a Orc and is done in pencil crayon on a sheet of grey\brown paper that measures 25" x 38" ....so its a BIG ONE! :) this was a gift for James, it took me 19.75hrs to do and was worth every second for him!



This is a Kodo. In fact, this is James' Mount for his Tauren Hybrid :)

I.F. - Brave

Wow of all the things this weeks Illustration Friday could have been, it HAD to be bloody 'Brave"....

This was the hardest Illustration Friday - or illustration i have ever encountered ever. This has been a rough week for not just me, but those important to me aswell, and the LAST thing i wanted was anything to do with bravery or the likes. I wish that the theme was 'lonely' or 'sad'...or something...that would have been right up my alley this week. But cant exactly change it, so here is my brave super pig

IF - Perspective

This is my 'Perspective' for Illustration Friday... decided to break out the Celtic Knots i love oh so much, and this is drawn in pen and coloured in pencil crayon.
The reason I deemed this as perspective is because... there are 6 hearts hiding in this image and you have to change your 'perspective' to see them (view)......lol enjoy

PS - i sold this illustration at work to a co-worker when i was showing it off... ^_^ its going to be made into a Tatoo

He mentioned in his blog that he used to play at a chestnut tree, and then it burned down...and that site just happened to become Mohawk College in which he now is the Dean of.

So this is kinda like... 'Vision' is what i'd like to call it...where you have the tree, the tree in flames and then mohawk college bringing up the rear....and i would like to mention, the school in the picture.... its a love hate relationship with me... i love how it turned out...but hated the time it took to get it look just right...lol

Well...

the first thing i found when i googled propagate, was artificial reproduction. soooo instantly my sick and twisted mind's wheels started turning at a feverish pace...

something that can reproduce artificially...

i like having fun with this, so i decided to go with something that CANT reproduce...so if it ever did - would ONLY be by artificial means!

SO i went with gummy bears since my daughter was chewing on some...so i was originally going to do gummy bear with a gummy worm, or something else...but...then i thought about a gummy hamburger... everything just kinda fell into place after that and here you have it...

enjoy :)

ps- i would like to thank my mom who blackmailed my dad into driving into town to buy me a new bag of gummy bears to work from when the munchkin ate my models!

"Adrift" - Illustration Friday

HELLO!!!! HI THERE!! HEY!! YooHoo!!!

This is my illustration for Illustration Friday's 'Adrift'...

Now i must say, i had entirely WAY too much fun doing this >.<



Pretty neat-o, eh? Well.... I did say up there that i had lots of fun with this... because i basically have 15 hidden things in this picture...yes, a couple are kinda obvious, but others are pretty hard to find!

Here; i'll even tell you what to look for, see if you can find them! Ill post a screenshot below of everything if you give up!

Here is #15....the boat...the boat is in the bottle still...poor thing has been left behind by the ship... i know its not exactly 'hidden' but i considered it hidden because its not noticeable at first glance!

Tigers

Well, I (probably) enjoyed the tigers for 'muddy' entirely way too much, and so much so that i went and did some more tiger pictures in Photoshop CS3.

How? For the most part, i just google such things as 'Cats Playing" or "crazy cats"...etc etc and get some fun poses and mix and match them together and there we go. Put the pictures in photoshop as its own layer. Add another and trace it out in red and change it around and basically sketch it - yes, i sketch in red lol. then once its where i like it; i pull up the saturation menu and make it go all black and clean up the lines finally. Then (cause tigers have stripes) make a stripe layer, then colour it. To keep the colours accurate to a tiger, i have 2 pictures of real tigers that i pull the colours and some stripe patterns from. Make a background and there ya have it!

Anyhoo...here are 3 tigers i have done in the last 4 days. And the one with 2 tigers dancing together (actually mirrored if you didnt notice, they are the same one just reversed...lol) the background is real, i didnt make that. its just a patio stone picture i found...just thought the colours kinda matched well with the tigers i thought.

Now...i liked the idea of the junk pile, but i thought it was just too much...but i did enjoy making it, was a lot of fun leaning the statue of liberty off a small kitten...lol here is a close up of the junk pile on the clipping room floor..



And here is my final version without the junk pile...just the cowboy turning his back on his horse to indulge in the cereal... no beans tonight!

"Focused" - Illustration Friday

Hello!!

Here is this weeks illustration of "Focused" for Illustration Friday (as you have already read in the title...). I really wanted to do something amusing for my design; originally i was going to do a golfer (ie: Tiger Woods or Arnold Palmer) with the head of spiderman or batman... but while i was looking for a golfing pose on google; i saw a picture of a man playing pool and i remembered hearing my dad chant 'focus' over and over again when he would break the balls... so thats why this is now spiderman playing pool...lol.
